The Atago Pocket PAL-10S is a compact digital refractometer for checking hydration through urine specific gravity. Put 2 to 3 drops of urine on the prism, press START, and the result and the prism temperature appear on the display in 3 seconds. It is easy to keep clean. The PAL-10S is water and dust resistant to IP65, so it can be washed under running water, and it floats if it is dropped in water. Its sample stage is shaped so a sample is easy to pour off but hard to spill. It suits site medics, health monitoring programmes and AOD collection points that want a quick, hygienic hydration check. How to use • Collect a fresh urine sample in a clean container. • Put 2 to 3 drops on the prism so the prism is covered. • Press START.
